Building cables must meet increasingly demanding fire-safety requirements: circuit integrity for evacuation and emergency systems, low smoke and toxic-gas emission per CPR, and protection against moisture in buried conduits. Mica Tapes for Circuit Integrity
Safety cables in buildings — evacuation, alarms, sprinklers, lifts — must keep their function during a fire per IEC 60331 and EN 50200. OR64 mica tapes make it possible to build cables that meet these requirements. Halogen-free and free of toxic gases, compliant with the most demanding CPR Euroclasses.

Euroclass compliance without mica
For cases where circuit integrity is not required but CPR compliance is — smoke emission and flame propagation. Non-woven polyester base with retardant elements, halogen-free. Contributes to Cca and Dca CPR Euroclasses.
Insulation and Separation
PET film and non-woven polyester
PET film provides dielectric insulation between layers (up to 16.9 kV). Non-woven polyester acts as separator, eases stripping and improves extrusion.
Moisture Protection
Water-blocking tapes for buried conduits
Cables in buried conduits or damp areas require protection against water ingress. Water-blocking tapes block the longitudinal advance of water when an insulation fault occurs.
Reference standards
OR64 materials enable the cable manufacturer to build products that meet the main fire-safety standards in building construction.
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) classifies cables according to their fire behaviour in Euroclasses.
