Nuclear power plants require cables that guarantee circuit integrity during incidents, with maximum reliability and certified traceability. OR64 mica tapes make it possible to build cables that keep their function at temperatures up to 1000°C.
Mica Tapes for Circuit Integrity
Mica withstands temperatures above 700°C without losing its dielectric capability. It is the material that allows cables to keep circuit integrity during a fire per IEC 60331 and IEEE 383. We supply muscovite mica (standard, maximum dielectric strength) and phlogopite (higher thermal resistance and flexibility).

Aluminium Shields for Power Cables
1070A aluminium for short-circuit management
Medium- and high-voltage cables distributing energy within the plant require metallic shields to manage short-circuit currents and ensure earthing. We supply 1070A aluminium in thicknesses from 200 to 500 µm, with elongation above 15%.
EMI Shielding for Instrumentation Cables
CU/PET and AL/PET laminates
Instrumentation and control systems — neutron detectors, temperature sensors, reactor protection system — operate with low-level signals extremely sensitive to interference. Copper/polyester for maximum EMI effectiveness, aluminium/polyester as the standard solution.
Electrical Paper for Transformers
Insulation between winding layers
The power and distribution transformers of the plant require insulation between winding layers. Kraft electrical paper provides dielectric insulation and compatibility with mineral oils.
