Railway rolling stock requires cables that guarantee circuit integrity during a fire, with minimal smoke emission and toxic gases. OR64 mica tapes — halogen-free — make it possible to build cables that keep their function at temperatures up to 1000°C, meeting the requirements of EN 45545, IEC 60331, EN 50200 and BS 6387. Permanent stock in Barcelona with our own taping service: 80 km/day capacity.
Mica Tapes for Circuit Integrity
Mica tapes ensure that the cable retains its function during a fire. Calcined mica on alkali-free glass-fibre fabric, with a high-resistance silicone resin binder. Halogen-free and free of toxic gases.

AL/PET laminates for signalling cables
Railway signalling and communication systems require shielding against electromagnetic interference. The AL/PET laminate provides an effective shield in data, signal and instrumentation cables. Available with a lubricated option for high-speed helical taping.
Electrical Insulation and Separation
PET film for layer insulation
PET film acts as a dielectric insulator between layers and as a separator between cable components. High dielectric strength, resistance to water and chemical vapours, dimensional stability. Multiple thicknesses and finishes available.
Flame-Retardant Tape
Alternative to mica for CPR compliance
Where full circuit integrity is not required but CPR standards on smoke and flame propagation must be met, the flame-retardant tape offers an alternative to mica. Non-woven polyester base with retardant elements, halogen-free.

OR64 materials enable the cable manufacturer to build products that meet the main fire-safety standards for railway rolling stock.
